

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, November 19, 2017 for Ozell Robinson, age 95, a 60 year resident of Gadsden, who passed away at her home near Lincoln in Talladega County Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Rev. Tom Brown will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. She worked in the nursery there as well as several other churches in the Gadsden area and kept children in her home. She was an avid quilter and gardener. She also crocheted clowns for her grandchildren.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, G.B. “Bud” Robinson; son, Doug Robinson; daughter-in-law, Kim Smith Robinson; parents, Earl and Vincinee Hendricks Green; grandson, Wesley Palmer; granddaughter, Dee Dee Holman; sisters, Bobbie Robinson and Sue (Grover) Batey; brothers, Everette, Doyle, Donald, Lewis and Ross Green; and great-nephews, Dwane Batey and Greg Goodman.
She is survived by her sons, Terry (Carol) Fowler, Doyce (Patricia) Fowler, Roger (Fran) Fowler, Danny (Beverly) Fowler, and David (Angela) Robinson; daughters, Janice (Bob) Schaefer and Cathy (Randall) Palmer; sister, Sylvia (George) Willis; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Samaritan’s Purse.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m., prior to the service Sunday.
