
Graveside Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Snead, AL for Raymond “Ray” Clevenger, age 72, Hokes Bluff who passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015. Rev. Billy Wise will officiate with Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mr. Clevenger was a graduate of Glencoe High School and retired from CSX Railroad after 33 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing and music was his passion. He brought joy to friends and family through his gift of singing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Mollie Ruth Clevenger, brothers, Kenny and Larry Clevenger, mother-in-law, Janie Daniels, sisters-in-law, Bonnie Copeland, Charity Vaughn, Jewel Headrick, Fannie Napier and Sue Hensley
Ray is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Dorotha Daniels Clevenger, children, Tony (Sara) Clevenger, Tim (Penny) Clevenger and Tracy (Mike) Johnson, grandchildren, P.J. Bishop, Brittany, Allison and Naomi Clevenger, brother, Donald (Kay) Clevenger, brothers-in-law, Pearlie Daniels and Alfred Daniels, sisters-in-law, Ethron Daniels, Kay Hawkins and a host of nieces and nephews and many many devoted friends.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to UAB CCU Medical Department.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 2 p.m. at the funeral home Monday.
