Raymond Michael Griffith

Raymond “Michael” Griffith, age 69, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Riverview Regional Medical Center. A celebration of life will be held on July 16, 2022, at The Civic Center (623 Broad Street Gadsden, AL 35901) in the tea room from 3:30PM to 4:30PM. Please no early arrivals. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

Michael was born and raised in Gadsden. He was a graduate of Emma Sansom, Class of 1971. He enjoyed painting, reading, and pottery. Michael will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Madison Griffith, mother, Bertie Mae Shockley; wife, Linda Griffith; sisters, Linda Griffith Gaylor, and Louise Griffith Richardson; and brothers, Carl and Leonard Griffith.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Phillip) Hanson; grandchildren, Tyler (Toni) Williams, Jason Williams, and Andrew (Krystin) Hanson; great grandchildren, Sadie, Elysa, Keegan, Gabe, and Rhett; sisters, Charlene Litwin, and Darlene Martin; step daughters Kim, Barbie, and Julie; nieces and nephews, Amy, Allison, and Chris Litwin, Chance and Aaron Litwin, Michael Martin, Jason Boyd, April Dodd, Pam Cook, John Watson, Timothy Watson, Denise Thrower, Terry, Tommy, Melba, Debra, and Karen; and special friends, Johnny Kell and Bill Royal.
