

Born on June 20, 1939, in Gadsden, Regina was the daughter of the late Ester and Grace Long. She spent her life rooted in the community she loved and will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strength, and deep love for her family. She was a devoted employee of South Central Bell/BellSouth for 30 years, during which she built lasting friendships and took great pride in her work. Outside of work, she was a faithful member of Riverbend Baptist Church, where her faith was central to her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Beaird, and her brother, Dewayne Long.
She is survived by her son, Patrick Cash (Jennifer); her granddaughter, Heather Carter (Logan); her cherished great-grandchildren, James, Meera, and Jack; her dear friend, Walt Alexander; and her brothers, Milburn Long (Anna) and Dennis Long (Gail). Sister-in-law, Margaret Long.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Williams Southside Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Faye Payne and Joy Flenord for the loving kindness and care they provided, and to Morgan Brock, RN, for her compassion and dedicated care.
Regina's warmth, kindness, selflessness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
