Funeral services for Mrs. Retta Mae Battles, 89, of Gadsden, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Mr. David Powell will officiate with burial to follow at Longshore Cemetery in Dekalb County, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Battles passed away on Thursday, December, 10, 2015.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.
Retta was preceded in death by her husband, B.F. “Frank” Battles and her oldest son, Gary Lane.
She is survived by her son, Robert Battles; brother, Ernest Goodwin of Murfreesboro, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be members of the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Longshore Cemetery fund for grounds upkeep.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.
