

On Sunday, January 24, 2021, Rhonda (Gray) Scruggs passed away at the age of 66. Rhonda was born on June 15, 1954, in Gadsden, Alabama. She was a simple woman full of love and put others before herself. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Rhonda was married to the only love of her life for 35 years after meeting on a blind date. She worked at Gadsden Pediatric Clinic until having children. She was a proud mother of two sons and a new grandson. She also loved her two daughters-in-law like her own. Rhonda was a loved substitute teacher at Gaston School for many years. She enjoyed traveling and went on countless cruises with her husband. Rhonda was a Godly woman who loved Jesus and her church.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents William “Bill” and Margaret Ruth (Jones) Gray.
She is survived by her husband Randy Scruggs, her two sons, Mark (Cassie, son Carter) and David (Rachel), her sister Louise (Ray) Copeland, her brother Danny (Kathy) Gray, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Balenger, Allen Copeland, Paul Cromwell, Jeff Thacker, Kerry Gowens, Charlie Skaggs, G.W. Campbell and Tim Batson.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at MeadowBrook Church at 2:00 pm. Rev. Randy Gunter will officiate. Music provided by Kevin Boyd. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:30 until 2:00 pm. prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Union Hill Methodist Church Cemetery for the family.
