Robert Glynn Autwell

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m on Tuesday at New Harmony Cemetery, Reece City, for Mr. Robert Glynn Autwell, age 65, of Gadsden, who passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011. Rev. Alton Rosier and Rev. Billy Tidwell will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Service directing.

Mr. Autwell was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, dirt track racing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Northfolk Southern Railroad after 36 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clark and Nova Lee Autwell; grandson, Wayne Franklin; and sister, Joann Brogdon.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Childress Autwell; sons, Robbie (Kristi) Autwell and Mark (Sandra) Gibbs; daughters, Patti (Reggie) Sanders and Delana (Dee) Wilbanks; grandchildren, Jonathan Joiner, Christy Garrard, Nicholas Franklin, Memorie Franklin, Jessica Franklin, Glynn Wayne Gibbs, Hobie Gibbs, Mark Anthony Gibbs, Dakota Grant, Hunter Grant and Tyler Grant, Blake Autwell and Kayla Autwell; great grandchildren, Jamin Joiner and Aleigh Joiner; brothers, Wayne (Darlene) Autwell, Ricky Autwell and Howard Autwell; step daughter, Tammy Thrasher; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Grant, Bo Autwell, John Autwell, Jonathan Joiner, Blake Autwell, Glynn Wayne Gibbs, Nicholas Franklin, Tyler Grant and Hunter Grant.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the NICU staff at Huntsville Hospital.
