
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Ruth Adams Bone Minton, 87, of Scottsboro, AL formerly of Gadsden who went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Rev. Larry Garrard will officiate. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery.
Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mrs. Minton was a Gadsden resident for 84 years. She was a member of the South 11th Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Minton was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; L. R. Bone, Jr. and Eugene Minton, parents; Paul Millard and Sallie Richards Adams, sisters; Marcelene Smith and Genevive Sanders, brothers; P.M., James and Herbert Adams.
Survivors are her son; Ronnie (Susan) Bone, daughter; Donna Bone (Wayne) Watwood, grandchildren; Rodney (Jennifer) Bone, Matthew (Anna) Bone and Landon (Katie) Bone, Jason (Sarah) Watwood and Justin (Erin) Watwood, 12 great grandchildren, sister; Jo (Herbert) Cochran and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Alley’s Senior Care for their love and kindness shown to our mother during her sickness, especially Teresa Alley, Marty Pendergrass, Judy Laswell and Shelia Wilborn.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
