She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, grandmother and loyal friend who loved her family and her dog Scooter beyond measure. She enjoyed relaxing while doing crossword puzzles and sudoku. She will be remembered for her unending kindness, her sweet, quiet peaceful nature, her love of all things Elvis and her pecan pies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Sue Cothran; and her sister Peggy Woodall. She was joined in death by her husband of nearly 59 years, Bill “BB” McLain.
She is survived by her sister, Delane Phillips; sons, Steve (Anita), Edward “Eddie” and Greg; grandchildren, Andrea (Brandon) Powell, Blake McLain, Stephanie (Warren) Houston, Brennen (Taylor) McLain, Morgan “Caley” McLain, Joshua Pope, Jordan Pope, and Jesse McLain; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 18, 2021, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation services is in charge of arrangements.
