Sarah Lorene Ruple

Sarah Lorene Ruple, 93, Rainbow City, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Mrs. Ruple was born in St. Clair County and lived most of her life in Etowah County. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Rainbow City, where she taught a Children’s Sunday School Class for many years. She was a dedicated Christian and loved her church family.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Ruple was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, J. C. Ruple; her parents, Oda and Maude Cole; brothers, Dewey Cole and J. C. Cole.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda Wimpee (Jerry), Gloria Miller (Allan), son, Bobby Ruple (Shirley); Grandsons, Mike Ruple and Jerry Wimpee, Jr.; Granddaughter, Stacy Hart (Rodney); Great-grand children, Julie Evett, Jessica Ruple, Colton Ruple, Christopher Wimpee, Will Hart and Leah Hart, and Great-great children, Ethan Evett and Emma Evett.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Cole, Wayne Ruple, Horace Calhoun, Ricky Pendley, John Edward Silvey and Clyde Turner.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
