

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Young’s Chapel Church for Selma Stevenson Heath, 81, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Rev. Joey Hanner will officiate. The burial will be at Young’s Chapel Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Heath grew up in the Tar Hills of North Carolina. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her marriage to a military man took them to several continents around the world, and together they raised 6 children. She loved to help people and animals and had a servants heart. Mrs. Heath was a devout woman of faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lee Heath; brothers, Weldon Stevenson, Ray Stevenson, and Roger Stevenson; and grandson, Jason Alan Heath.
Mrs. Heath is survived by her daughters, Reatha (Jerry) Waddell, Betty (Jimmie) Wetzel, and Mary (Cliff) Williford; sons: Robert (Teresa) Heath, Glean Heath, Sr., and Glean (Sarah) Heath, Jr.; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

The family will accept friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
