Sharon Elaine Cockrel

Mrs. Sharon Elaine Cockrel, age 54, of Glencoe, AL passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 12:30PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Sharon attended Alexandria High School, class of 1987. She was a member of Mamre Baptist Church. She loved animals and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Cockrel; mother, Jean Taylor; father, Joe Allen; step-father, Henry Taylor; and sister, Linda Hodge. She is survived by her son, Steven (Jellisa) Cockrel; daughters, Amber (Chris) Cockrel and Amanda (Justin) Clark; grandchildren, Gavin, Aaron, Gabe, AJ, Hope, and Aria; sisters, Debra Nesbit and Laura Allen; brothers, Darryl Allen and Rodney Allen; special friends, Donald Clark, Laura Faulkner, and Margaret Lisa Williams; along with a number of nieces, nephews, and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Cockrel, Chris Litwin, Gabe Litwin, Gavin Cockrel, Aaron Cockrel, and AJ Cockrel. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Kristie Smith, Jellisa Cockrel, and to everyone who donated for Sharon’s service.
