Shirley Wright Maxwell, 64, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. Shirley was a wonderful person who loved her family very much. Shirley was full of life. She loved being a grandmother and enjoyed sewing, cooking, word searches and taking care of her beloved dog, Lena.Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ida Wright; brothers, Kenneth Wright and Jesse Wright; and mother-in-law, Sue Maxwell.Shirley is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Larry "Bu") Gosdin; grandchildren, Summer, Isaac and Courtland; husband, Tommy Maxwell; sisters, JoAnn (Marion) Parker and Florence (Butch) Sapp; niece, Pamela (Andy) Copeland; and a host of family and friends.The family will receive friends, Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
