Randy was born in Aiken, South Carolina. However, after moving around several times as a child he finally landed in Church Hill, Tennessee. Randy was a graduate of Church Hill High School and the University of Tennessee. He was a lifelong VOL fan, and proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Army. After his time in the army, he worked as a stockbroker and corporate project manager. He loved to travel and enjoyed telling stories about his time working in England and Scotland. His greatest passion was being at the soccer field watching his children play. He was extremely proud and really looking forward to seeing his grandchildren grow up and follow their dreams. In his spare time, he loved to read, fish, eat sweets, and try to play golf. He liked working in his yard and attempting to fix things around his house. He was an avid dog lover and always willing to let his best bud Rocky push him off the couch.
Though his earthly life was cut short, we have assurance of his eternal home and know that today he can see like never before, run and not grow weary, and now has no more pain, no more tears, and no more questions.
Our family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregivers at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, DaVita Dialysis, and Southside Medical Clinic for their care and compassion these past few months.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request any donations be made to Miss Mimi’s Animal Rescue (look up on Facebook)located in Cartersville, Ga or to the Benevolence fund of White Springs Baptist Church (www.whitespringsbaptist.org).
