Timothy Howard Snyder, 66, of Rainbow City, AL passed away suddenly at his home Saturday, October 9, 2021. Tim was born in Gadsden on December 30, 1954 to Ralph and Annie Fuhrman Snyder who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Vickie; step-sons, Chris and Stephen Fletcher and their children, Ariel, Chace, Lucas, Hayden, Autumn and very special to Tim, Dalton and Eli; sister, Bonnie (Gaylon) Pierce; brother, Michael (Melissa) Snyder, nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Tim had a big personality, loved to be with people and never met a stranger. The mention of his name always brought a smile. He was a loyal friend who was ready to help physically or financially. He worked for Norfolk Southern and changed more rules than anyone ever had. He was our Evel Knievel with anything that had a motor. But this is the most important part: Tim was raised in a loving Christian home and made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. We stand on John 10: 28-29.
Throughout Tim’s eventful life the thing that has brought the greatest pleasure to him in the last few years was being “Pop” to Dalton and Eli and spending time with family.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Southside. Michael Cedric Snyder will officiate.
Collier-Butler Funeral Home is honored to serve the Snyder Family.
