Virginia Tuggle Boman

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Virginia “Ginny” Boman, 88, of Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Rev. Max Roden will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Boman was a member of East Gadsden Baptist Church, where she also was a member of the WMU. She was very active in the Republican Party. She volunteered her time for over 42 years to Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Dan Boman; and nephew Charlie Boman.

She is survived by her son, David Boman, of Huntsville, AL; daughter, Jane Boman Gibson, of Pensacola, FL; son, Allen Boman, of Southside, AL; grandchildren: Jonathon Boman, of Huntsville, AL; Caroline Gibson Marcilliat, of Pensacola, FL; and Sunny Boman Gibson, of Chicago, IL; and great-grandchildren, Haley and Ella, of Huntsville, AL.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Gadsden Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank Gadsden Regional Medical Center CEO Stephen Pennington and hospital staff for their care of our mother.

Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 prior to the service.
