Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Nan "Tootsie" Cheaves, who passed away at age 64, on Saturday, June 2, 2018, after a brief illness. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Nan was a 1973 graduate of Emma Sansom High School and a graduate of JSU. She was a member of 12th St. Baptist Church. She was a Christian since a young age. She enjoyed painting, cross stitching, and spending time with her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Virginia Chaffin.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jerry Cheaves; her sister, Gail Chaffin Kelley; niece, Misty Kelley Hale (Kevin); uncle, Oswald Costner; and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to 12th St. Baptist Church in her memory.
Family will receive friends Monday from 6-8pm.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Hale, Johnny Hamiter, Phillip Selman, Ray Grigsby, Keith Back, and Terry Clayton.
