

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Vivian Farley Mayo, 85, of Gadsden, who passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Rev. Philip Elliott and Rev. Sammy O’Dell will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Mayo was a lifelong resident of Etowah County and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Calvin Mayo; parents Alton and Winnie Farley; and brothers, Ralph, Olan, and Jack Farley.
She is survived by her sons, John Mayo, James (Christie) Mayo, and Mark (Nancy) Mayo; daughter Marie (Brian) Freeman; grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle) Mayo; Cassie (Paul Hubbard) Mayo, Lukas Mayo, Andrew Freeman, Jacob Freeman, and Sara Freeman; great-granddaughter, Audrey Mayo; chosen daughter, Belinda (Don) Yeager and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Paul Hubbard, and Brian Farley.
The family will accept friends from 10:30-12:30 p.m. at the funeral home Saturday prior to the service.
