Wanda Faye Edwards Whisenant, age 72, of Southside, AL passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 11: 00 am on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Crestwood Cemetery. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Wanda loved antiques, genealogy, gardening, and crocheting. Above all, she loved her family. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Walter Howard Edwards and Josie Aretta Edwards; siblings, Walter Howard Edwards, Jr., Harold Douglas Edwards, Tommy Allen Edwards, Walter Donald Edwards, Roger Dale Edwards, and Peggy Edwards Lipscomb.
She is survived by her loving husband, Guy Walton Whisenant, Jr.; sons, Zachary Whisenant and Guy Walton Whisenant III; siblings, Robert Edwards, Jimmy (Pat) Edwards, Gary Edwards, David (Nora) Edwards, Connie Edwards, and Mitchell (Brenda) Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews.
