William Patrick Daniel

February 21, 1949 - April 20, 2022

William Patrick “Pat” Daniel passed away on April 20, 2022 in Gadsden, Alabama. Born in Ft. Bragg, NC, he was the son of the late Col. William Allen Daniel, USAF, Ret. and Mrs. Ruth Norvell Daniel.

Mr. Daniel attended Redlands High School in Redlands, CA, where he was All-State in baseball and football. In 1966 he left for the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, and played quarterback on the football team. Mr. Daniel transferred and graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, AL.

Mr. Daniel spent his early career serving his country in the United States Air Force. After retiring from service, he moved to Jackson, MS. He had a natural curiosity for computer technology and an entrepreneurial spirit. Mr. Daniel was a brother in Christ and active in his church.

Mr. Daniel is survived by his children, Ryan Daniel (Lauren) of Vestavia Hills, AL. and Kyle Ryan (Donald) of Gadsden, AL.; his grandchildren, Drew, Reese, Kathryn, Donnie, and Amelia; his brother, Kenneth Daniel (Kingman, AZ) and his sister, Leslie D. Arnold (Columbia, SC); and his sister-in-law, Jackie H. Daniel (Columbia, SC). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Maj. General Gerald A. Daniel, USAF, Ret.

The family will hold a private burial at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.
