Anthony "Tony" M. Christ

Anthony “Tony” M. Christ of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away on July 23, 2022 at the age of 59. He was born in Columbus to Philip and Joyce Christ on July 7, 1963. Tony attended Gahanna Lincoln, class of 1981. He was known for his outgoing, social personality and found a friend in everyone. Tony’s true passion was for fishing. He fished at local Saugeye tournaments for many years, but never needed an event or reason to get out on the water. When he wasn’t fishing, Tony enjoyed watching OSU football and was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan through thick and thin.

Tony will be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandpa, and as a dear friend to many.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents Guy and Helena Miller and Frank and Florence Christ; and by his uncle, Mike Christ.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Anthony “Tony” Christ (Taylor) and Devin Christ (fiancée Allison); grandchildren Davin and Maxwell Christ; brother Scott Christ (Patty); sisters Jacqueline Syring, Jill Alvord (Rick), and Julie Dickerson (Marc); uncle Tom Christ (Melody); aunt Jean Christ; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Tony’s family will receive friends on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 3pm-7pm at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230.

As we honor Tony’s life, the family asks guests to wear casual clothing to his gathering – Tony would not have wanted everyone in black. Fishing shirts “to look like a pro”, OSU and Browns gear are welcome!
