Beck J Lintner’s legacy will stand tall like the buildings he erected throughout Ohio in his 81 years of life. Beck’s lifetime loves were building with stone, working in his woodshop and spending time on the water, but most treasured were the times spent with his wife, Barbara their three children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. No matter the weather, no matter the circumstance, Beck always showed up for his family and friends.
A lifetime resident of Gahanna, Beck graduated from Gahanna Lincoln class of 1962 and immediately went to work for his Dad, Earl “Beck” Lintner, in the family business Lintner & Luft Stone Contractors. Retiring after 50 years as a mason, you can bet any stone building, wall, or sign in Gahanna probably had Beck’s hands in it.
Born in Columbus on March 12, 1944 to Beck and Marie (Graumlich) Lintner, he was proud to call Gahanna home. He met his wife, Barbara (Binns) at the age of 5, setting them up for a lifetime of friendship and love. Married for 60 years, Beck leaves behind his beloved wife and their cherished family, Sherry (Kevin) Williams, Robin (Ron) Welch and Jason (Robyn) Lintner, his grandchildren Jessica (Aaron) Williams, Austin (Emily) Williams, Colton (Kirsten) Williams, Mason Wilson, Carson Wilson, Brody Welch and Gillian Lintner, and 6 great grands. Beck also leaves behind his brother, Larry Lintner, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, classmates and card club members who loved him dearly. A Lintner’s love is deep and so evident, especially when you watched Beck with his family.
Beck has been reunited with his parents, his siblings Don Lintner and Betty Whitacre, and welcomed home by many wonderful family members and friends who went before him, including his beloved 4-legged buddy, Rudy, who was waiting for a treat.
Family is welcoming guests at Schoedinger Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, May 20th. Service will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at 11:00am at Peace Lutheran Church located at 455 Clark State Road, Gahanna.
