She attended The Andrew’s School for Girls Willoughby, Ohio 1972-1974. Graduated from South High School in Willoughby, Ohio. Attended Lakeland Community College and received a degree in Medical Assisting. She worked for many doctors as a medical secretary.
Beryl had 4 brothers Glen (Tammy) Allison, Robert (Tina) Allison, David (Karla) Allison, Matt (Melissa) Allison, she bragged about them and told stories about their shenanigans when she could. Her sister in-laws, became the sisters she never had growing up. Sharing recipes, homes, counsel, laughs and occasionally fashion tips. Beryl still insisted on Crocs with every outfit, anyway.
Beryl had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly Becky (Nathan) Blankenship, Glen (Chelsea) Allison III, Tiffany (Justin) Warner, Brittany (Jeff) Rogers, Matt (Megan) Allison II, Amber (Alex) Blake, Dave (Maria) Allison , she craved stories/photos of their lives and parenting journeys, good and bad. They brought so much joy to her life.
After Beryls stroke, she lived at Heartland-Mentor where her roommate Cindy Branovic became her best friend and guardian angel. The Allison family is so grateful for Cindy’s amazing love and kindness for all those years. God brings the right people into your life at the right time.
Beryl loved nature and animals. She doted on her furry children Mario and Garret. They took many long walks together. She cared for all the feral cats in her neighborhood, paying for spay and neutering out of her own pocket.
In her youth, she loved muscle cars, motorcycles, rock and roll, southern rock, tie dye and all things Cleveland. She enjoyed sports, history, genealogy and family reunions.
Beryl transferred to Tuscany Gardens, Pataskala in 2024. She made friends of all her caregivers with her spunky spirit and sarcasm. Her donut stunt in her mobility chair got her barred from solo adventures from her occupational therapist.
Most days she was content to watch classic tv shows like Lassie, Adams Family and Andy Griffith, she played online games on her iPad and created a Barbie world that was impressive. She surfed social media, Google Earthed everything around her care facility, talked on the phone and looked forward to lunch and dinner- no vegetables please, extra ranch dressing on the side. McDonalds iced caramel macchiato never stood a chance in her presence.
Beryl NEVER felt sorry for herself or her circumstance. She was ALWAYS appreciative of every small thing.
Beryl BELIEVED in God, enjoyed his beautiful world, LOVED her family and friends deeply.
She will be missed.
