Betty Montgomery

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Leslie Montgomery, Fort Mill, SC; and Cary and Michelle Montgomery, Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Harrison, Christopher (Madi), Michael (Grace) and Nicholas; great granddaughter, Olive; and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her great grandson, Conrad, in a few weeks.

Also survived by her sister, Bertha Reed, Pittsburgh, PA; brother and sister-in-law, David and Kathy Ervin, Chicago, IL; aunt, Norma Farris, Bloomington, IN; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Sherry Montgomery, Groveport, OH; and Dave and Cindy Montgomery, Wooster, OH; special friends and next door neighbors for over 40 years, Ron and Jan Burton; and numerous extended family and close family friends.

Betty’s full-time job was taking care of those she loved the most, her precious family. She was always there for them and will be dearly missed. She loved to travel, having visited 48 states along with her husband, Robert, only missing Alaska and Hawaii because she didn’t want to be on a boat or an airplane.

Hobbies included playing cards and board games and putting her green thumb to work tending to her flowers in her garden.

At Betty’s request, there will be no services. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Mifflin Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to a favorite charity in her memory.
