Carl Parker

He attended Central High School. He was a member of St. Paul EC Church/Amity Road EC Church for several years, where he devoted his time to choir, played softball where he was the pitcher, and later was involved in Wednesday night Bible Study. Carl and Barb later became members of Maize Road Baptist Church where they were involved at The Stowe Center. Carl was a dedicated employee at Worthington Food where he worked for 30+ years. Away from work, Carl enjoyed bowling. He bowled several perfect games of 300 and has a plaque at the Bowling Palace. He played softball for work and other teams throughout Columbus. Barb and Carl enjoyed traveling around Ohio visiting historical sites, including all of the “Heart of Ohio” painted barns across the 88 Ohio counties. He also loved watching The Ohio State University football; Barb and Carl visited many stadiums together to watch the Buckeyes play.

Carl was a loving husband to Barbara for 68 years; he will be remembered and deeply missed by and his daughters, Jodi (Bill) Maynard and Karla (Tim) Fetter; and grandchildren and great-grandchild Chris (Cassi) Paxton (Isabell and Dylan), Sarah Heaberlin (Zac), Alyssa (Kailiyah and Terri), Billie Jo Maynard (Skylar), Joe (Kara) Henderson (Wesley, Haylee, and Emme), Brina Bennett (Holden and Henry) and Hannah Fetter.

Visitation will be held on October 16, 2025 from 4-7pm at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Carl’s funeral service will be held at the funeral home on October 17, 2025 at 11:00am, Pastor Shawn Hensley officiating. Services will conclude with procession to Sunset Cemetery at 6959 W. Broad St., Galloway, Ohio 43119 for interment.
