

After graduating from Brookhaven High School, she went on to meet the love of her life, Gary, and enjoy a full life together for 57 years of marriage
.
Carol was very involved in the Seal of Ohio Girl Scout Council and Reynoldsburg Girl Scouts as a Leader, Trainer, and Mentor to many young ladies for nearly 20 years. She enjoyed herself a great deal and made many good friends in her time with the Girl Scouts.
Retired from DFAS Columbus after many long years of service, Carol was proud to be able to support the United States Military with her work.
Preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sharlene Sapp, and father, Donald Packard.
Survived by loving husband Gary L. Kessler, brother Tom (Jane) Packard, daughter Sheryl (Brian) Rodia, grandsons Anthony (DaTa) and Michael (Kayla), and great grandchildren Makenna and Hendrix as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and camping friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering held at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, on September 16, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
