Christine A. Meringolo

Christine Ann Meringolo, age 71, of Johnstown, OH, formerly of Shrewsbury, MA, passed away on July 6, 2024. Christine was born on October 28, 1952, daughter of the late Helen C. Ryan and John W. Ryan Jr.

Christine dedicated her life to education, nurturing young minds as a beloved kindergarten and pre-k teacher. For the past 15 years, she joyfully taught pre-k at Enchanted Care, where her kindness and passion for teaching touched the lives of countless children and families.

Beyond her professional life, Christine found immense joy in her family and pets. She adored the family horses and dogs, but her late pug, Wanda, held a special place in her heart. Christine also cherished travel, especially her adventures in Europe.

Central to Christine's life was her family. She was the cherished wife of Joseph Meringolo, with whom she had just celebrated 50 years of marriage together, and a loving mother to Steven and Lisa Meringolo. Christine took great delight in her role as a grandmother and was a devoted and doting presence in the life of her grandson, Jadon Meringolo. Also left to hold her memory dear are her siblings, Elizabeth R. Greenleaf, Richard W. Ryan, and David J. Ryan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Christine Meringolo's warmth, kindness, and love touched all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, colleagues, and the many lives she influenced throughout her years of teaching and caring.

A celebration of Christine's life will be held on Friday, August 16 from 4PM-6PM at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 East Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable contributions be made to the Licking County Animal Shelter in Christine’s memory.
