Christopher Shawn Day

Christopher Shawn Day, age 51, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025. Born on May 3, 1973, Shawn was a devoted father, beloved son, brother, and loyal friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and strength to all who knew him.

He is survived by his three sons, Bryce Day, Aiden Day, and Reis Day; his father, Harry Day; his mother, Barbie Edison; his sisters, Candice, Jessica, and Faith; and his brother, Anthony. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bert, who passed in 2001.

Shawn had a deep love for his children and his family, which was the foundation of everything he did. He had a passion for dirt bike racing and working on cars with his sons.

Shawn will also be remembered for his commitment to helping others through addiction recovery services. He offered hope, support, and a listening ear to those in need, becoming a trusted friend and mentor in countless lives.

His memory will continue to live on in the people he inspired, the family he cherished, and the community he helped build. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, from 10:00am – 1:00pm at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230, with a service immediately following at 1:00pm. Services will conclude with interment at Mifflin Cemetery in Gahanna.
