David “Dave” Richard Beeler, 82 of New Albany, Ohio, husband of Carol H. Beeler, passed away on July 5, 2025. Born May 5, 1943, in Holyoke, Mass., he was the son of the late George and Viola Beeler of Chicopee, Mass., and the brother of the late Charles Beeler of Springfield, Mass.
Dave graduated from Lowell Technological Institute in 1965 with a B.S. in Plastics Engineering. He spent his entire career as a Materials and Manufacturing Research Engineer in the defense industry. Dave enjoyed working in his yard tending to his flowers and gardens. After his retirement, Dave started cooking, always trying new recipes and making dinner for Carol and planning holiday meals and family cookouts. For more than 30 years, Dave and Carol took their family to Kiawah Island to enjoy a week at the beach, jumping waves, boogie board races, games of 10 Pennies (which somehow he always managed to win!), and playing bocce ball in the sand with his grandsons.
Surviving are his wife Carol of 60 years, two daughters, Cyndi (Tim) Mulvey of New Albany, Ohio and Jill (Don) Andrews of Granville, Ohio, and a sister Susan (Jimmy) Cassidy of Holyoke, Mass. Also surviving are five grandchildren Cody (Lacena), Corey (Veronica), and Connor Mulvey and Nathan and Dylan Andrews along with two great grandchildren Oliver and Reese Mulvey.
A private family memorial will be held in New Albany.
