A man who loved the Lord and wanted to follow Jesus his whole life, he is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Rita E. (Wesney) Dickson; children, Angela R. Marshall, Chattanooga, TN; Matthew D. (Molly) Dickson, M.D., New Albany; and Jamie C. (Kory) Karr, Ft. Collins, CO; grandchildren, Andrew and Peter Marshall; Jackson, Aidan, Lincoln, Mason, and Truman Dickson; Eileen and Lucy Karr; brother, Dale L. (Teresa) Dickson, Johnstown; Sister-In-Law Catherine Dickson, Junction City; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Maurine (Penrod) Dickson; granddaughter, Anna Christine Marshall; and his brother, Dean L. Dickson.
Having attended Grace Polaris Church for 30 years; he was a 12-year and current member of Jersey Church. Serving many years in the insurance business, he retired after 31 years as the owner/operator of Dickson Insurance Agency, Worthington.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Jersey Church, 13260 Morse Road SW, New Albany, where family will receive friends following the service. Pastors Matt Read, Jeff Stimpson, and Dan Hammers officiating. Private interment in Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany.
