Donna Jean Barlow

Donna J. Barlow, 84, entered God's care on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. She was born on November 10, 1937 to Ralph and Lora (Preston) Cohagan in Columbus, OH. Donna is preceded in passing by her parents and her beloved baby sister, Irene Bailey.

Donna was a beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She graduated from Linden McKinley in 1955. Donna met her husband Paul while they were getting their cars serviced and they were together for 61 years (almost 62 years, which would have been in May of this year). She had 2 children, Paul and Patti. Donna worked at Western Electric and at Timken. Then she became a cook for Columbus Public Schools for several years which she retired from. She wanted this job so she could be home when her children got home from school. Donna was also an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams were The Ohio State Buckeyes Football and Basketball. She was also a fan of Columbus Blue Jackets and the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. Donna dearly loved The Best Dam Band In The Land. Her favorite musician was Elvis Presley; she even visited his home, which was on her bucket list. Also on her list was to go to the Rose Bowl Parade and Game, and to the National Championship Game to watch her buckeyes, which she did. She also took several cruises; her favorite was a 7-day cruise in Hawaii islands. Donna also took a cruise to Alaska. She always wanted to see Niagara Falls, which she did. She loved animals and had dogs, birds, and cats in her lifetime. She was member of the Triangle Chapter No. 592 Order of the Eastern Star for 62 years.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 61 years, Paul Barlow, Sr.; her children, Patti and Paul Jr. (Pam) Barlow; Grandson, Bryan (Stormie) Barlow; Brother, Ralph Jr. (Geri) Cohagan; Sister, Carol (Wayne) Evans; Brother-in-law, Dan (Irene) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 22, from 4pm-7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Family will also receive guests at the funeral home from 12pm-1pm on Wednesday, March 23, with Donna's service to follow at 1pm. Services will conclude with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
