

Born on August 27, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, Ed was the son of the late Charles and Blanche (McCall) Nunemaker. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Nunemaker and his nephew, Tony Currier.
Ed is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Graff) Nunemaker; his children Todd (Mary) Nunemaker and Heidi (Andy) Ring; his grandchildren Taylor, and Matt Nunemaker and his sister-in-law Christine Nunemaker. He is also survived by his nephews Kevin (Sarah) Currier, Todd Currier, and Jonathan Nunemaker, his niece Missy Burford and great-nieces Lanie and Kacie Currier.
Ed was born in Columbus, Ohio and remained a lifelong Ohioan. He moved to Athens when he was young and graduated from Ohio University where he played drums in the Marching 110 band. He was an avid Bobcat throughout his life. Ed served in the US Army and was a proud veteran. Ed spent over 50 years as a dedicated and respected realtor servicing the central Ohio area. He was a member of several prominent real estate organizations.
Ed was a devoted friend to all and valued time with loved ones. He enjoyed entertaining, cooking, mixing countless cocktails, dining out and reconnecting with old friends. In his youth, he played golf and tennis and vacationed in Hilton Head with family. Ed relished watching his granddaughter and great nieces’ dance recitals and adored cheering on his grandson playing baseball. More recently, he enjoyed soaking up the sun, relaxing by the pool and walking his treasured dog, Tootsie.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Robert Zaino, the family practice physician for Barb and Ed, who has provided dedicated care and support over the years.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 4:00–6:00 PM at All Saints Episcopal Church, 5101 Johnstown Rd, New Albany, OH 43054. A service celebrating Ed’s life will follow on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the church.
