

Edwin Dever “Ed” Jolly, a dedicated truck driver for his entire career, passed away on July 21, 2024 at the age of 79. Known for his unwavering commitment and hard work, Ed spent many years as an owner-operator of his own truck, traveling countless miles and touching many lives along the way.
A man of faith, Ed was an active member of the East Point Christian Church, where he was recently baptized. His faith brought him immense joy and peace, and he cherished the fellowship and community he found within the church.
Ed was a proud and loving papa, never missing an opportunity to boast about his grandchildren and children. His family was his pride and joy, and he loved sharing stories about their accomplishments and adventures. He had a gift for conversation and made friends wherever he went, always ready with a story to tell.
One of his fondest memories was his recent vacation to Montana, where he marveled at the beauty of the landscape and created lasting memories with his loved ones. Ed had a passion for racing and was the proud owner of two race cars. He enjoyed the thrill of the races and the camaraderie of the racing community.
Ed is preceded in passing by his parents, Edwin Wright and Nannie Sue (Estes) Jolly; and sister, Norma Vakoc.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jan, of 48 years; daughters, Angela (Brent) Mackie and their children Savannah (Ben) Kennard, Reagan and Peyton Mackie; Krista Jolly- All and her children, Bryant, Caleb and Avery All; sisters, Carolyn (Patrick) Ayle and Shirley (Randall) Eckenrode; along with many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will be having private services at Schoedinger Northeast to honor Edwin. A public Celebration of Life will take place on his 80th birthday, August 31, 2024 at Eastpointe Christian Church, 745 N Waggoner Rd, Blacklick, OH 43004. The time of his celebration will be updated as available.
