Eileen M. Godin, age 94, of Gahanna and formerly of Rhode Island, died Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Storypoint Grove City. Eileen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Andre J. Godin, in 2024; and by ten sisters and two brothers and parents Manuel and Mary (Rego) Silva.
Eileen is survived by her four children, Cynthia M. (Scot) Burbacher, Circleville; Andrea V. Bryant, New Albany; Patricia (Tim) Starling, Reynoldsburg; and James A.(Christy) Godin, Columbus; nine grandchildren, Scot (Emily) Burbacher, Andrew (Laura) Burbacher, Allison (James) McKenzie, Colin (Amber) Bryant, Kelley Bryant, Joe (Amy) Starling, Katie (Andrew) Folk, Emily (Nick) Godin, and Olivia Godin (Connor Rockhold); twelve great grandchildren; and brother Tom (Jean) Silva, Coventry, Rhode Island.
Eileen was a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, Gahanna, and a former member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church where she was an active member for many years, serving with RCIA and Renew. Eileen loved her community at Collingwood Point and the many friends she made there. One treasured memory is her and her husband making pizzelles to share with family and friends during the holidays. Eileen’s greatest joy was time spent with her family!
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, where friends may call prior to the service from 9:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. Thursday. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, next to her beloved husband, Andre.
