Eldon Malling

Eldon Keith Malling, 93, of Columbus, OH died on May 8, 2022. He was born in Clarksburg, WV to the late Carl and Freda Keith Malling. He graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School in 1946 and WV Wesleyan College in 1950 where he excelled in basketball. He received his Master’s Degree in Education from West Virginia University.

Eldon was a Veteran of the US Army and served in Korea during the conflict. He taught and coached in Washington County, Ohio and retired as a High School Principal from Hamilton Township High School in Franklin County, Ohio. He was a lifelong Lutheran and a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Columbus, OH.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Deering Malling, who he married in 1955; his daughter Leslie Diane Malling; and his granddaughter Claire Marie Malling. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy Malling; his grandsons Riley Malling and Dylan Malling; and his brother Carl Malling.
