Flora Elaine Warden

Flora Elaine Warden, 86, of Gahanna, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 7, 2023. She was born on October 13, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Frank and Gladys Rader. Flora was preceded in death by her husband, George Warden.

Flora is survived by her children, Lisa (Ron) Bolin, Elaine (Ronald) Castor, Connie Cochrane, and Earl (Tracey) Davis and adopted children Bruce (Annie) Davis, Cherlyn (Bruce) McNamer, and Cindy Burton. Loving sister of Conrad Rader. Beloved grandmother to Daniel, Renae, Alicia, Jessica, Samantha, Kyle, Maddie, and Ryan and great grandmother to many adored great grandchildren and other extended family along with friends.

She graduated from East High School in Columbus, Ohio. After graduation, she worked as a keypunch operator, eventually moving onto a long career at K-Mart and ended with a position at Meijer. She was a long time member of the Stonybrook United Methodist Church for over 53 years where she was the president of the Agape Circle, a member of the United Methodist women, and the church choir.

Flora had a beautiful smile that could fill a room. Her zest for life was infectious, and she cherished spending time with family and friends, creating memories that will be forever treasured. Flora could always be found with a great cup of coffee in her hand writing letters to family and friends.

The family of Flora will be receiving family and friends for a visitation on July 14th at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast at 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230 from 11:00am -1:00pm. A celebration of life will immediately follow. Interment will be on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Gibson Station Cemetery in Salesville, Ohio.
