He was a retired building inspector working in Indianapolis, IN, Xenia, OH, and retiring in Columbus, OH. Gene was a man of strong faith and always happy to share the Gospel. He was a kind, soft spoken man who enjoyed helping others. He was a long time musician, playing several instruments. He enjoyed country and jazz, but his true love was bluegrass music.
Gene was a true family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included family time, playing music (guitar, upright bass, banjo, and saxophone). He loved being outdoors, reading, and always helping those in need. We always loved his unique and quirky sense of humor. He never missed a chance to tell us how proud he was of each of his children, and we will always cherish those words.
