Harry was born on October 22, 1952, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to John Wesley Lewis and Olive (Neely) Lewis. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, West Virginia, with the Class of 1970.
A lifelong entrepreneur, Harry proudly owned Qualified Auto Center in Gahanna, Ohio, for more than 30 years. Known to many as simply "Harry," and to friends and family as "Mr. Lewis" or "Bullet," he could fix just about anything. If your car broke down or you found yourself in a bind, Harry was the first person you'd call. He'd always help—after teasing you for not knowing how to fix it yourself.
Harry served for many years as President of the “Million Dollar Vans” Club, where he made lifelong friends and unforgettable memories. A true speed demon, he loved anything fast—from cars and speed boats to roller coasters, helicopters, and cruising in the Jeep. He was a devoted NASCAR fan during the Rusty Wallace and Dale Earnhardt days and became a Buckeye fan mostly because family and friends insisted he watch the games.
He was also well known by the local police, not only for keeping their personal vehicles running but for occasionally lending his van for stakeouts. Back in the day, he even enjoyed a little friendly drag racing with some neighborhood cops at a small airport near Clarksburg—just another chapter in the legend of "Bullet."
Harry loved summers at Indian Lake, where there was always room for one more around the campfire. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, laughs, and making memories.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Lewis and Olive (Neely) Embleton- formerly Lewis; his stepfather, Richard Embleton; and his beloved son, Bryan Lewis.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 25 years (for a total of 34 years together), Kimberly (Davis) Lewis; his stepdaughter, Brianna Workman; his stepson, Brian Workman; his cherished grandchildren, Solara Lewis (Bryan), Wesley Workman and Dean Renico (Brianna), and Eva Riggenbach (Brian); his sister, Karen Porter; his three beloved fur-babies, Mindy, Cassie, and Lily; and countless friends, customers, and neighbors who will remember his generosity, humor, and willingness to help anyone in need.
Harry will be remembered for his quick wit, loyal heart, and the way he could make everyone feel like family. His stories will be told for years to come, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to visitation hours on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast in Gahanna, Ohio.
