Henrietta Coriell

Henrietta Coriell, 91, passed away on March 16, 2023. She was born on July 7, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to Joseph and Emelia Ekiert. Coming from a large family, Henrietta has been family-oriented her entire life, always doting on her daughters and her beloved dog, Mae. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino, especially the slot machines. She loved to cook (and loved to eat!). Henrietta was a dedicated “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” watcher. She will be remembered and missed for her hard-working spirit, her kindness and selflessness, and her love for her family. Henrietta is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald; her grandson James Donald “JD” Weekley; 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Margaret (James) Weekley and Amelia (Kevin) Gallagher; grandchildren Jordan and Andreanna Weekley; along with many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 20 from 5pm-7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Henrietta’s funeral service will be held the following morning, March 21, at 10:30am in the chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne, OH. Interment will take place immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Henrietta’s honor.
