Jack L. Woodard, age 69 of Columbus, passed away on April 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was born November 19, 1954 in Dover, Ohio. A son to the late John and Susan Mae (Cooper) Woodard. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in passing by his nephew Mark Daniels; and his uncle Paul Sterns.
Jack is survived by his sons Scott (Izzy) Bonner and their children Huntley and Finley. John (Jassy) Doss and their children Johnathan and JJ. He is also survived by his sister Marsha Daniels; niece Erin Shook; nephews Brian and Cory Daniels; and Aunt Libby Sterns. Additionally, Jack leaves behind a circle of loved ones including Chuck Thornton, Ashley Hines, Halea Hahn, Harlea Farley, Paula Chandler, Jacob Vreeland, Karen Vreeland, Mike Hannigan, Michael Bell and Jerry Smith.
Jack found joy in simple pleasures like bike rides, boating, and the autumn tradition of fruit picking. An adventurer at heart, he relished being out and about, seldom content to stay home. His career as a property manager at Cortland brought him fulfillment and lifelong friendships with his colleagues. A proud alumnus of Ashland University, Jack had a desire of staying informed through avid reading of consumer reports. Above all, Jack cherished his grandchildren and found immense joy in watching them grow. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jack’s celebration of life will be held between 1PM-3PM Saturday, April 20th at Cortland Powell (3400 Club Way Ct Powell, OH) inside the clubhouse. Please stop in at your convenience & join us in celebrating his life. We kindly request that attendees dress is business casual. The family will be dressed in black.
