

Jeananne was born November 30th , 1938, in Pie, West Virginia, (Mingo county) to her Parents Nathan Maynard and Hester Maynard.
She graduated from Matewan High School in Matewan, West Virginia, class of 1956. She went on to work for the FBI in Washington DC, the Missile Test project at the Patrick Air Force Base in Florida, and RCA Missile Control in Cape Canaveral, Florida; the EEOC in Williamson, West Virginia; and the Lawson and Lawson Law firm in Williamson, West Virginia. From there, she moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she worked for the Kobacker company and T.C. Hobbs and Associates.
Jeananne married Bernard A. May (Bernie) on June 4th, 1957, and together they raised 3 children. Greg (Shari) May, Jeff (Gabriela) May and Kim (Steve) Justice. They had 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
They were married 55 years when Bernard (Bernie) went on to be with the Lord on March 22, 2013.
She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, both the WV and Ohio chapters where she made lifelong friends.
She was well known and loved by all for her dazzling fashion sense and her signature red hair. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Her surviving brother, Danny Maynard, is a resident of Palatka, FL.
Jeananne was the matriarch to her large family who dearly loved her, and she loved spending time with them reminiscing and giving life advice.
Jeananne loved the Lord and was a member of Infinite Church where she attended regularly.
There will be a celebration of life ceremony at a later date for both Jeananne and Bernie.
