Jeanette (Freeland) Wolford

Jeanette (Freeland) Wolford, 76, passed away on August 30, 2023. She was born on January 10, 1947, to Francis and Louise (Swick) Freeland in Akron, OH. She and her family eventually relocated to Springfield, OH where she spent most of her adolescent life.

After graduating from Springfield North High School, Jeanette worked for many retail stores but one of her favorite jobs was working in firearms sales.

Jeanette enjoyed reading her library of books, watching sci-fi tv shows, (especially star trek), listening to Elvis, thrifting with her close friend Flirt, and spending time with her cat Gracie. She was a great mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her father and mother, Francis and Louise (Swick) Freeland, and her husband Richard Wolford.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ron Horton and Robert Cochran; grandsons Steven Horton, Richard (Kyanne) Horton and granddaughter Rebekah (Gabriel) Thompson; Her great-grandchildren Adamynah Connywerdy, Elijah Horton, and Maddux DeLuca. Her siblings Frank Freeland, Roxanne Gray, Arthur Freeland, Paul Freeland, and Mark Freeland, and many nieces and nephews.

Per Jeanette’s wishes, no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanette’s memory may be made to any local animal shelters near your place of residence.
