

Jim was a husband, son, father, uncle, brother, friend, confidante, and beloved son of Jesus Christ. He was a born again, Bible believing Christian with a permanent home in Heaven.
He was a Marine, attended OSU majoring in photography, and was in the OSU Marching Band as a trumpet player, getting to “dot the I” during his time there. He was a Sergeant for the city of Reynoldsburg Police Department until his retirement, serving as a Patrol Officer, working in the Darkroom, assisting with Forensic Photography, working with the first K-9 patrol for Reynoldsburg and Franklin County, and was the first bike patrol officer.
Jim also belonged to many law enforcement and gun rights organizations, including as a National Director for the NRA. He also worked with LEAA, Law Enforcement Alliance of America).
He had his own radio shows each week, and was a Longevity distributor.
Jim had a passion for Mission work – he went to Mexico and Ukraine, and was active with Gospel Light Baptist Church.
Jim also found enjoyment in firearms, knives, and computers, and was passionate about personal rights and more holistic approaches to medicine and healthcare.
He had many friends, both locally and all across the world. He will be greatly missed, and there will be an empty space in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Gail Ramm; his sons Michael and Matthew; grandsons Carson and Kaedon; brother John; sisters Peg (Dave) Bertsch and Pat (Jeff) Natalino; nieces MacKenzie, Kylie, and Jill; nephew Andrew; his 3 beloved dogs, Jethro, Cooper, and Abby; and many other dear family members and friends.
Visitation will take place on Monday, May 19, from 10am – 12pm at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230, with Jim’s funeral service beginning at 12pm. Pastor Chris Tullos, officiating. Services will conclude with interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Reynoldsburg, OH.
