John A Melaragno

John was a 1970 graduate of Brookhaven High School and spent a long career in the coal mining industry with Jeffrey Mining Machinery, Dresser Industries, and re red from Caterpillar.

Throughout his life, John was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He attended many sporting events over the years with family and friends. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and classic rock music.

John was preceded in death by his parents John and Nedda and his in-laws Dr. John and Helen Prior, sister-in-law Sue Prior.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 31 years, Ann; children, JoAnn Melaragno, Jodi (Tod) Bisher, Julie Barnhart and Johnny Melaragno, and grandchildren. John is also survived by his siblings, Carolyn (Jim) Lape, Marilyn (Bill) Capalino, Michael (Kay) Melaragno and Barbara (Steve) Tucker, brother-in-laws Jack Prior and Bob (Patty) Prior, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a catered reception on Friday, March 4, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, from 5pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in John's name to the American Cancer Society.
