

Eleanor Joyce Carman O’Neal Eing, 86, passed away peacefully at St Ann’s hospital Saturday morning August 03, 2024. She was born to Norman Nuel Carman and Ethel Marie Carman (Pendleton) in Piketon, Pike County, Ohio on June 26, 1938.
Joyce married Cecil Ray O’Neal on March 30, 1963 in Columbus Ohio. They lived in Gahanna Ohio for 30 years. Joyce married James Eing, on October 09, 1987. She then purchased her dream home near Northland Mall. Joyce was employed at Duplex printing and the Columbus Dispatch in accounting for over 30 years. Her childhood days were spent near Wakefield, Ohio. She was a graduate from the old Scioto school district, where she was a basketball cheerleader. She loved music, dancing, her 4-legged grandchildren, Elvis Presley, and Joyce enjoyed and loved working on her family tree. Joyce full heartedly cheered for her grandchildren’s basketball and soccer games. Joyce loved her Lord and had a heart of gold, endeared by all her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Norman William Carman (D.1973), Robert H. Carman Sr. (D.2021), ex-husband Cecil Ray O’Neal (D.2019).
Left to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Timothy O’Neal and Jeffrey O’Neal (Maggie Giamalvo); a sister Barbara Allen Detwiler (John); grandchildren, Loren O’Neal, Madison O’Neal, Erika Grigsby; Great grandchildren, Kallie Bohorquez, Aspen O’Neal, Eden O’Neal, Chyna To, Wes Mendenhall; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins; also, a Sister-in-law Violet Douglas (O’Neal), an ex-husband James Eing, and her 4-legged grandchildren Bandit and Blue.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 8th, from 5PM-8PM at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 E Johnstown Rd. A Graveside Service will take place the following day, Friday, August 9th, at 12PM at Mound Cemetery in Piketon, Pike County, Ohio.
