

She was born on October 28, 1925, in Columbus, Ohio, to Margaret and Elvin Lytle.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Doris Hardbarger (Carl), Eileen Lytle, and Nancy Trott (Frank); and her brothers Raymond Lytle (Martha) and Donald Lytle (Wanda).
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Judith Kallal (George); and her son, William Miller; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also fondly remembered by many loving nieces and nephews who showered her with affection throughout her life.
Katherine proudly dedicated 21 years of service to The Ohio State University, where she worked in the still photography department. In a field dominated by men at the time, she rose through the ranks through skill, determination, and talent. A gifted, self-taught photographer, Katherine was known for her keen eye and exacting standards, especially her razor-sharp work in the darkroom. Her excellence earned her widespread respect and praise throughout the OSU community. Truly, she was a woman ahead of her time.
The family extends heartfelt love and gratitude to the compassionate staff at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor for their tender and devoted care.
