Kelly was a special soul and gift to this world. Kelly was a healer in every sense of the word. The love she gave her siblings and their children, her infinite loyalty and love to her friends, the joy her passion for her work brought to the many co-workers she inspired, and of course the countless patients she helped. Her gifts were rare and restorative. May she be remembered for her love and light helping others. Love you Kel. Thank you for being such an amazing best friend to Mar over the years, for everything you did for our family through my Dad’s fight and for all the memories in between. ❤️🌅

I have so many fond memories of Kelly as I had the privilege of working with her at the James for over 20 years. I want to assure you that Kelly  held herself and others to a high standard of care for our patients.  She taught so many new  ( and old) nurses over the years.  She was so smart! I was Kelly’s manager when we worked inpatient.  I always knew when Kelly came with a concern that I needed to listen! My favorite non work memory was when we went to the 2006 National Championship game.  We had so much fun….until the game;(

Driving to Columbus…it doesn’t seem that we are headed to your funeral, but to be with all of you like we always are. Your family has become so much a part of our family over the years…they are some of my favorite people. I still can’t believe you are gone. My heart breaks for your sister, brothers, all your nephews and nieces..Bode..your family, your  friends, your co workers..my family. You were an amazing person..and I loved being able to witness the way you loved with your whole heart. You are going to be missed so much…but I promise to always be here for your sis..just like you were! Rest easy..love you Kelly!

You were such a special person and an amazing nurse. I always looked forward to working alongside you.  I knew I could always count on you if I needed help with something or if I needed a little comedic relief during the workday. Mill Run is not (and will never be) the same without your spunky personality. I still feel like you are right around the corner about to walk into one of the team rooms to greet everyone. I feel so blessed to have worked with you for the past 8 years.  You are truly one of a kind ❤️

I am so so sorry, There are  no words. I will always cherish our memories.   Our trip to Washington DC , you were driving and asked, why is everyone yelling and waving at me and I look up and you are  going  the wrong way on a one way street!  you kept running the red lights because the traffic  lights were on the side of the street instead of above.  I was not surprised when you got a ticket in the mail when we return  Also on this trip we were waiting in line at a restaurant, you said to me, "hey George Clooney is behind you"  I said, " that is funny Kelly".    Sure enough George Clooney was behind me!  I thought you were messing with me because I would always call George Clooney my boyfriend LOL
Our many trips to HHI and you making me listen to country music on the entire drive down.   Our trip to Pittsburgh and taking Flat Stanely with us  for a photo shoot for your nephews class project. 
The trips to Siesta Key beach and having cocktail hour with your Aunt Nancy. I  so loved meeting her and spending time with her. I will never forget the time we were at the beach , I was eating my sandwich and a seagull swooped down and took it right out of my mouth !  I screamed and you could not stop laughing.  Amy was nice and gave me half of her sandwich, you just kept laughing and then we all started laughing. 
The fun times tail gaiting for OSU games, going to the Big Ten Championship games and National Championship game. 
I will always remember you dancing at my wedding in your ohio state slippers.

I had the privilege of working alongside Kelly in the OSU Gynecologic Oncology clinic for over a decade. In all that time, I never encountered anyone quite like her. She was not only an exceptional nurse but also a genuinely kind and compassionate person. Kelly was the heart of our clinic—the “mama bear” who ensured everything ran smoothly and everyone felt supported. Our clinic operated like a close-knit family, and Kelly was always protective of our providers’ time and well-being. Her care extended beyond people; she even looked out for the geese around our facility.

I was fortunate to have her not just as a colleague but also as my personal nurse. Her dedication and warmth left a lasting impact, and her absence will be deeply felt. We all loved Kelly dearly. She was truly one of a kind, always authentic, and brought a unique spirit to our team.

Dear Mike, Anne, JJ, sweet nephews, nieces, 
My heart aches for you in this profound shocking loss of  Kell. I’ve waited all this time and still can’t find the right words to tell you how much Kelly has meant to me and our family for these past 45 years. That cute little brown eyed girl was immediately one of our clan. I have vivid memories of all of you from Holy Spirit through Hartley, St, Charles and Walnut Ridge and can honestly say it has been a privilege watching you become who you are as caring adults. Each of you and Kelly reflect the best of Peg and Pat with integrity, heartfelt laughter and tears. Kelly with her tender heart, holding Mary the day we brought her home from the hospital; Kelly at the kitchen table playing spoons  or poker laughing harder with every win; Kelly cracking up telling me about getting Hazel in and out of the shower and a million other ordinary and not so ordinary moments that made and still make me smile and cry. 

As an adult her devotion to your parents, especially as each became ill and to your mom  after your dad died, was relentless. Everything she did for them,,for each of you and your kids, her  cousins, friends, colleagues and patients she did with a glad heart. She could bitch about circumstances with the best of us but her choice to be there again and again for whoever needed her was unyielding. Kelly was the epitome of a loyal and authentic human who knew how to live and love without measure. I don’t think she even realized  just what an amazing blessing she was to all in her life. 

Nothing can ease your/our sorrow . I hope you find comfort in knowing that Kelly’s extraordinary spirit will forever live on this earth, with deep gratitude and much love. ❤️

Oh Kelly, l can't believe this. I'm still in disbelief.  I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly working back on 8James, evening shift, over 20yrs ago. Those were the days. I can't tell you how many times when that woman would be in charge, as she would walk by the Nurse's Station, she would tell me to order something for a patient or for the floor. Now, for those of you that know me, know that l cannot hear worth a crap! In order for me to hear you and understand you, you need to be on my left side and looking at me so I can read your lips. Nope not Kelly!  She would always ask for something standing behind me or walking away from me just knowing I would order what I think I heard, which was NEVER the right thing! I think she did it on purpose.  Those were some of the best times. Man, we used to laugh a lot back then. You are going to be SO missed, my friend. Rest ln Peace

To the Family - I met Kelly last June when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I was so blessed to have her in my life at such a difficult time. She had so much compassion and I looked forward to seeing her during my treatments. If I missed her in the doctor’s office she would always find me just to see how I was doing. It won’t be the same without her but I’m thankful God allowed her to be in my life. She was a special person with a beautiful heart and a wonderful nurse!

Kelly, you were one of the best nurses I have ever worked with. I so appreciated your positive attitude, your honesty, your support for our patients, you team and friends, how you kept me in line, our chats after clinic about work and life, and commitment to excellence. You were a fantastic colleague, an true inspiration, and you've taught me so much over the last 20 years.  You made everyone around you better. We will miss you so much.

Oh Kelly, I can barely write this after looking at all the pictures we have. I want to cry and laugh at the same time.  I was fortunate to work very closely with Kelly on the O’Malley team for 4 years. When I say she is like nobody I have ever met , I mean it! Kelly cared about everyone she came in contact with and would give you the shirt off her back. She made sure to celebrate you on your best days and check in on you on your worst days. Kelly was blunt and told you how it was and I loved that about her. If she was in a mood she would tell you to get out of her face. If your outfit was ugly she was the first to let you know! When it came to patient care she would fight to get them whatever they needed to be best taken care of.  Kelly would message me “call me” at least once a day. You never knew what you were going to hear when she’d answer. It would either be something for a patient or something ridiculous like she is out of poo-pourii and stuck in the bathroom.  She was the funniest. She always kept everyone laughing. Whether it was at her or with her.  Just watching her try to learn how to use an iPhone was hilarious. Kelly would let me know when she was having candy cravings and bribe me to go to cvs for her by giving me her bank card and telling me I can get some candy too, on her. Lol probably a couple times a month she needed some heath bars. . I could go on, so many good times. Kelly always had the best advice to give you in any situation and I’m going to miss that so much.  I loved talking to her and I will cherish the goofy voicemails she left me. Condolences to the family- she spoke of you all often and loved you very much. She also loved her dog Bodie, please don’t forget to put his thunder jacket on when it storms! <3

My sincere sympathy to the Creedon Family.  I knew Kelly through her sister Anne and brother in law Dave.  I will always remember her as a loving, kind, fun soul.  Her dedication to nursing and deep caring for others will always be a fond memory.  I am certain she is safely home in heaven with her mother and father.   I will always have fond memories of them all.

I met Kelly working at the James and she taught me so much, she was very smart and knew her stuff and would let you know if you was doing something wrong LOL I loved her for her upfront attitude she did not hold back or bite her tongue. The first Christmas party I attended Kelly was there and we had so much fun. I really enjoyed working with Kelly. May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family and friends

I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly through working at The James.  Our friendship started while she was working as a travel nurse and I was working as a PCA finishing up nursing school. Kelly then signed on as a staff nurse while I graduated nursing school and did the same. We worked together for 10 years until I left inpatient nursing for the outpatient world. As she did for so many, Kelly played a major role in shaping me into the nurse I am today. Kelly not only played a major role in shaping my life inside the hospital but outside as well. You see, I was raised in the Catholic faith, but was never baptized, confirmed, or had my first communion. When my, now husband, and I became engaged, I decided to go through RCIA and officially become a member of the Catholic Church. Kelly was a support to me through this process as well. She’d frequently check in to see how things were going. When it came time to choose a confirmation name, it was Kelly who suggested that I choose “Camillus”, the patron saint of nurses, doctors, and hospitals. Made sense to me and Kelly seemed to know what she was talking about! So, that’s what I choose! Later, I looked up St. Camillus…who is the patron saint of nurses, doctors, and hospitals….HE also was kind of an A-hole, a gambler, and lost all his money and possessions due to his gambling problem before changing his ways and going into the priesthood. After finding this out, I marched onto the floor for our next shift together and as soon as I laid eyes on Kelly I yelled, “Damnit Creedon! What do you know about St. Camillus?!” To which she replied, “Just that she is the patron saint of nurses, doctors, and hospitals.” I promptly told her that SHE was a HE and all the other tidbits of information I found out. With each bit of information, Kelly laughed harder and harder and harder to the point I thought she might pee her pants. Thank you Kelly for the wonderful memory and for shaping me into the nurse/person that I’ve become.

To the Creedon Family: Mike, Anne Marie, JJ and each of your children, you all remain in my prayers as you grieve the loss of your dear sister and aunt. I’m so grateful that Kelly and Marla were childhood friends and that as Mar’s little sister I got to grow up with Kelly as a kind of bonus big sister figure in my life. As a young adult Kelly would razz me for my lifestyle choices-she’d pull me aside and real frankly give me a talking to- I sort of feared it and knew it was coming every time because she somehow always had her finger on the pulse of anything suspicious. I’m now 45 and still mortified from the time she sprung a pregnancy talk on me while on a casual drive to a VW family dinner haha. Years later as my dad was dying Kelly was with us every step of the way, she was so good to him through his hardest days- her calm guidance and ‘no bs’ strength was a gift to my entire family during those heavy days and nights. I’ll miss her big energy, her holiday sweaters, listening to her talk so proudly about her nieces and nephews, and laughing with her about my family bs. Kelly gave so much time, love and care to others and I hope wherever she is now that she is receiving that same love and care in exponential returns.

I had the pleasure of working with Kelly as a nurse at The James.  To say she was special is an understatement.  She was one of the best nurses I know and I will miss so many things about her.  I will miss her smile, her laugh, her stories and her friendship.  I am so thankful Deb organized a dinner when I was in town last year and the 3 of us had a chance to catch up.  We picked up right where we left off, as if no time had passed. Kelly was so funny and enjoyed sharing stories from when we worked together on the floor.  We laughed the entire time and talked about how we needed to get together more often.  I only wish we could meet one more time so I could tell her how much she meant to me. To her family, I hope you know how much you meant to her. To her other co-workers and patients, we all benefited from her knowledge and caring bedside manner.  As we gather at her service, I hope we can share stories of all of the fun times we had together. I am sure she would want that. 
Oh Creedon, I will miss you so much.  The world was a better place with you in it.  Sending love, hugs and prayers to everyone experiencing this tremendous grief.

I had the pleasure of taking a vacation with these lovely ladies in 2021…this is how I will remember Kelly! She was full of life and laughter. Large & in charge! I never had to worry about anything when Kelly was around…she just knew how to get things done. She was financially smart too, and she had a heart for helping others! After seeing Kelly for the last time, I started thinking of the different ways she had helped me over the years we worked together. It was amazing how many things came to my mind…she was a genuine caretaker! Kelly loved to have a good time, she loved her family…especially her nieces and nephews, and she was a wonderful friend and nurse! She set an amazing example for us all! Lastly, I remember the funniest story she would tell about camping in the woods with a guy and getting poison ivy between her legs so bad that days later it was oozing and her scrubs were sticking to her legs….and the laughter that would follow….always the laughter! I love you Kelly, and you will be greatly missed friend!😘

I met Kelly when I was a new nurse, nearly 16 years ago. She made a positive impact on my nursing career, as she always put patients first. Kelly was a tough but loving nurse and you always knew you were going to have a good shift when she was on. Kelly was courageous and had no problems speaking up on behalf of patients and nurses. I started my career at the James Cancer Hospital where I met Kelly. I noticed her passion for the job immediately. It inspired me as a new graduate. She was fiery and loud and I damn loved her for it. She was a large part of my professional development. 
My deepest sympathy for the family in her loss. We will see you on the other side, Kelly.

Kelly was funny, kind, passionate about patient care and smart. She loved her family deeply and loved sharing stories. I will never forget her smile and laugh and am blessed to have gotten to know her and work beside her. ❤️

Kelly was my friend, that would do anything she could for so many. She watched my dogs over the years and I helped her tend her garden over the years. 
She was an excellent nurse and I’ve known her since she joined the nursing family at The James. We worked the night shift together. She always had my back.

I am so sorry for Kelly's family and colleagues who will all miss her dearly. I worked with Kelly at Mill Run when I covered case management for several months-maybe a year. I did not know anyone over there and it can be intimidating to jump into a new team as a newbie that no one knows. Kelly was so welcoming and treated me like she had always known me-cracking jokes with me, being sarcastic (which I love) and generally just treating me like I was not an "outsider" but a part of a team. I really appreciated that and will never forget it. I know she was loved by so many and cared so much about her job and her patients. I will be praying for peace and comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Sending my sincere condolences to Kelly's family. We are all completely shocked and saddened that our dear friend is gone. I have  so many memories with Kelly over the years. There are too many to list here, but I have been going over and over them in the past week and keep coming up with new ones.
I remember the first time I met Kelly in October of 2003. I was a brand new nurse and came in at the end of night shift to do AM lab draws. I recall being a little intimidated by her, but at the time, I had no idea how much influence she would have on my life and my career. We worked together on 8 James and 10S/10 East Doan for over 9 years. I moved onto leadership in 2012.  She called me up a couple of years later when she decided to come to outpatient and asked me to do mock interviews with her. I told her I'd only help her if she applied to the opening in my clinic at Gyn Onc.  I was so EXCITED when she chose  Mill Run to start her new nursing chapter, and we found ourselves together once more!
One of the last things she said to me before I moved to Texas in 2021 was "Don't stay away too long. I'd really like to work together again before I retire." This will stay with me forever. I'm sorry I didn't make it back in time, Kel.  I love you and will miss you forever. Thank you for your kindness, friendship, and dedication to our shared profession.

To Kelly’s family and colleagues,

I am deeply sorry for your loss.   I was one of Kelly’s patients.  She was an important part of the team that brought me back from the brink after my diagnosis of advanced cancer.  She was a highly skilled nurse. She was always upbeat and supported me through my recovery, making sure I could enjoy life.  I owe her so much and I am just one of many lives  she changed for the better.  She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Dear Anne Marie, Michael and JJ (you will always be JJ to us! :)),

My siblings and I are sending love and condolences over the loss of our beautiful neighbor and lifelong friend, Kelly.  What memories of Yorkshire we all share with the 8 kids and parents who loved a good time—-BBQ’s, Labor Day football games in the yard, hiding out in basements during tornado warnings!  Kelly was always the sweetest kid and it was not a surprise that she followed in Pat and Peggy’s footsteps to become a healer herself.  

Kelly’s love and compassion for our parents, Joan and Charlie, as they grew old and became ill, was a true gift.  She made sure to keep up with them and to be a comfort to them and to our family when they were nearing the end of their lives.  Nursing was truly her calling and your parents would be SO proud of her career and her calling to be of service—especially to those in need.

I’m sure the James Hospital and all of Kelly’s patients are mourning her loss.  This world is better off because of health care workers like Kelly.  

We are so sorry for the loss of your sister and our forever-neighbor and friend, Kelly.   Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this time.  She’s in the arms of Pat and Peggy now, and Charlie and Joan Sweeney are telling dumb jokes and keeping them all laughing.

Kelly was one of a kind. She loved life to the fullest. I keep hearing stories and they are all her. Telling certain people who were pregnant they were having a girl because girls steal the mom's beauty. 
The story about her and her date breaking her recliner……no need for details. She was ticked she had to replace the recliner. 
Kelly was passionate about everything worth while.  Her presence will be missed.

Oh Creedon — you’ll be so missed (we already do). Mill Run will not be the same without her infectious laugh. She was truly a one of a kind person, an incredible nurse, and a wonderful friend to all. I’ll miss the nonstop jokes and stories and her bright personality. She truly made an impact on me as well as the patients, and left her mark on Mill Run — literally and physically (TR1 carpet chocolate stain, if you know you know) and all of Team Gyn Onc. She was the heart and soul of it all.

We will miss you dearly, Kelly!!

Kelly and I shared 10years of 3to3 shifts together at the James Cancer Hospital.  She was a great co-worker and I learned a ton of nursing knowledge from her.  As a  seasoned travel nurse coming to the James, she truely was a wealth of wisdom.  She was always eager to teach me and anyone else that was willing or wanting to learn.  She was compassionate, an advocate, a leader, a straight to the point, no BS kind of nurse.   The one you always wanted on your side!  I was sad the day she left 21 James, but will cherish every moment and memory I have of her.   Creedon will be greatly missed!💔

Oh Kelly, we all loved you so! I worked with her inpatient  for many years. She threw the best house parties/cook outs!  She took car keys from anyone who was drinking. Late at night, she laid out big dog beds throughout  her living room. When I asked what she was doing , she said " people will be so drunk they will sleep in them tonight!" 😂😂 She knew how to have fun and the nurse in her made sure everyone was safe! ❤️

I have so many great memories with Kelly. 
My favorite would probably be the time that we did a “drive by” for Dr. O’Malley’s birthday. We drove by his house with the windows down and “Hang on Sloopy” blaring on the radio. I was embarrassed and tried to hide, but she made me hold a sign (that she made and it looked like a kindergartener made it) out the window. We laughed so hard the entire time. 

When trying to think back on some of my favorite memories, I just picture her laughing hysterically telling me something funny about “shitting herself” or “Creedon Christmas” stories. It was just the day to day memories with her, always making everyone around her laugh
-The time she wrote a sympathy card to a patient’s husband and said “she will be so pissed!” Instead of so missed.
-Always making me feel so special on my birthday every year and made sure we had a cake and sang to everyone on their birthday 
-Getting me Tim Hortons every morning, even though I told her it was making me fat. I tried to hint that I needed to be healthier and she got me egg whites one time then told me I don’t need that “gross shit” and went back to a blueberry muffin and iced coffee but decreased to only clinic days rather than daily. 
-Irish dancing in the hallways 
-Inappropriate  gestures with the dilators every chance she got
-Helping her figure out her iPhone that she bought just so she could FaceTime with her nieces and nephews 

I could go on for days about funny stories with Creedon. She was literally always making everyone around her laugh, including the patients. She was so good to Avery and was always encouraging me to go home and “make a boy”. She was an excellent nurse and gave exceptional care, but was also always reminding me of the importance of work life balance. She always told me that being diagnosed with PKD at 32 made her realize how important it is to live life to the fullest, enjoy time with family and go on vacations. She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
