Kevin Bantner

Kevin was born on December 7, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late James Bantner and Maxie Hurd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Karl.

As a teenager, Kevin began working at a local restaurant, where he met Deborah Inglis. The two married on December 17, 1983, beginning a life together that would span more than four decades. They later made their home in central Ohio and raised their four children, Sarah, Samual, Sadie, and Sophia.

Kevin began his career selling cars and eventually went on to build a business of his own. He was proud of what he accomplished and of the life his hard work allowed him to build, but the people he loved always mattered most.

Kevin was kind, generous, funny, forgiving, and charismatic. He had an easy way with people and could make someone feel comfortable and welcome almost immediately. He loved to laugh, loved being around people, and had a way of turning ordinary time together into something worth remembering.

He loved golfing, especially Sundays spent with his boys. He loved boating, fishing, camping, biking with Deborah, cheering on the Cleveland Browns, and looking for the next adventure. Some of his happiest times were spent traveling with his family to the Gulf and Michigan, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and siblings, and simply being together with the people he loved.

Kevin was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and those relationships were at the center of his life. He was especially proud of his children and his grandchildren: Cayden, Lily, Lucy, Rosie, Gianna, and Violet. The family he built, the memories he gave them, and the love he showed them are his greatest legacy.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his children, Sarah (Nathan Vance), Samual (Katharine Leach), Sadie (Zackery Gunn), and Sophia (Christopher O’Neal); his grandchildren, Cayden, Lily, Lucy, Rosie, Gianna, and Violet; his siblings, Keith, Karen, and Kenneth; and the many family members and friends whose lives were better for having known him.

He will be deeply missed, endlessly remembered, and forever loved.

Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230, US, on September 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
