

Lisa was born in St Luke's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, on February 20, 1971, to Anita and Robert Mathews. She has one older sister, Rhonda J. Mathews (Arthur). Lisa accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at the age of 13 at Grace Missionary Baptist Church.
She grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, home of the Red Raiders. She often spoke of her fond memories of playing volleyball and the lifelong friendships she formed there. Lisa graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and later, Chamberlain University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing Degree. She worked for OhioHealth from November 2006 to her final days. Lisa worked initially as a Respiratory Therapist and ended her career as a Registered Nurse.
She met the love of her life, Benito E. Caldwell, while she was attending OSU. They married on June 29, 1996, and they have two wonderful children, Cameron E. Caldwell and Devin M. Caldwell. Family meant everything to her, and those three men are her pride and joy. She took every opportunity to talk about their huge hearts, kindness and their diligence.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Anita Maddox (Benny), her father, Robert E. Mathews, her beloved husband, Benito E. Caldwell, her children, Cameron E. Caldwell and Devin M. Caldwell, her loving sister, Rhonda J. Mathews (Arthur), her sisters-in law Toyia Caldwell, Mico Caldwell and Tacoma Caldwell, her nieces and nephews: Taneika Motley, Takiya Day, Alicia Evans, Vanessa Evans, Dontae Evans, Alexus Caldwell-Peterson, Kennedy Caldwell and Jordan Caldwell, her many dear friends, and a host of other friends, family and co-workers.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made in Lisa's memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
A visitation for Lisa will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
