Mary Therese Immer

She was raised in Washington D.C. along with her sister Elizabeth and her brother Arthur. She graduated with a BA in history from Trinity College and went on to obtain a Masters in Education from George Washington University.

She met and married her husband John Garrett Immer through friends. After he completed law school at the University of Florida they moved to Coconut Grove, Florida and raised their three children Mary Elizabeth, Kate and Eileen. Mary and John were married for 45 years.

Upon his passing Mary moved to Columbus, Ohio to live with her daughter Mary Elizabeth. She became an active member of the Church of the Resurrection including her beloved rosary groups and Young at Heart.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, son in laws Jeff Scherer and Scott Kinnamon, and by her grandchildren Lily and Bella Scherer and John Kinnamon.

Funeral Mass will take place at 11AM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Church of the Resurrection (6300 East Dublin-Granville Rd). A private burial will take place at a later date in Miami, FL.
